Job Description

Overview

The HR Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources department in various administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the organizations HR processes. This role is essential in maintaining employee records assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes and facilitating communication between employees and the HR department. The HR Assistant contributes to creating a positive and productive work environment by providing support in key HR functions.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment processes including job postings scheduling interviews and conducting initial candidate screenings
  • Manage employee records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires including paperwork orientation and training logistics
  • Process HR documents such as employment contracts offer letters and termination paperwork
  • Handle employee inquiries and provide necessary HRrelated information and guidance
  • Coordinate HR projects and initiatives such as employee engagement programs and performance management processes
  • Support HR reporting and data analysis tasks
  • Assist in organizing HR events and employee recognition programs
  • Contribute to the maintenance of HR policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Manage HR departments correspondence and documentation
  • Participate in HR meetings and take minutes when necessary
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department
  • Contribute to the improvement of HR processes and procedures
  • Handle other adhoc tasks and projects as assigned by HR leadership

Required qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field
  • Proven experience in an administrative or HR support role
  • Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office particularly Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of HR processes and best practices
  • Understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Detailoriented and capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Team player with a proactive and positive approach to work
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Basic understanding of HR reporting and data analysis
  • Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to learn and grow in the HR field
  • Professional certification in HR (e.g. PHR or SHRMCP) is a plus
