Overview:
The Site Engineer (Interior) plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of interior construction projects. They are responsible for ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on time while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects and interior designers to understand project requirements.
- Prepare project plans including timelines budgets and resource requirements.
- Supervise onsite construction activities ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Oversee project progress and address any issues or delays that may arise.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Review and approve project designs plans and construction documents.
- Manage project documentation including contracts permits and change orders.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and contractors.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between all project stakeholders.
- Monitor and control project costs to stay within budgetary constraints.
- Resolve any design construction or siterelated problems that may occur.
- Conduct quality control inspections to uphold project standards.
- Prepare and present regular project progress reports to management.
- Ensure project completion and handover in line with client expectations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Architecture or related field.
- Proven experience in interior and fitout projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and regulations.
- Excellent project management skills with a focus on organization and planning.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret and review architectural and interior design drawings.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Understanding of budgeting and cost control principles.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Problemsolving skills to address onsite challenges and issues.
- Certification or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
- Experience with sustainable and environmentally friendly construction practices.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to travel to various project sites as required.
