Job Description

Overview:

The Senior Medical Officer Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Unique Hospital in Delhi Dwarka plays a crucial role in providing advanced medical care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and comprehensive management. They are responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team to ensure topquality critical care in a challenging and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daytoday operations of the ICU department.
  • Conduct patient rounds examinations and assessments.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for ICU patients.
  • Supervise and support the medical staff and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and best practices.
  • Lead and coordinate medical emergency responses within the ICU.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior medical staff and residents.
  • Participate in continuous medical education and training activities.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety measures.
  • Collaborate with other departments and specialties to optimize patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Participate in research academic or administrative activities as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the relevant location.
  • Board certification in Critical Care Medicine or an accredited fellowship in ICU.
  • Minimum 5 years of postqualification clinical experience in critical care.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in an ICU setting.
  • Indepth knowledge of advanced critical care procedures and technologies.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proven dedication to compassionate and evidencebased patient care.
  • Experience in teaching and/or academic contributions is advantageous.
