Overview
The Senior Certified Software Business Analyst plays a crucial role in the organization by leveraging their expertise in software analysis business acumen and project management to drive the successful delivery of software solutions. They are responsible for ensuring that software requirements are clearly defined understood and met while also identifying opportunities for improvement. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and participate in gathering analyzing and documenting business requirements for software projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into detailed software requirements.
- Evaluate existing software solutions and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Define and prioritize software features and enhancements based on business value and impact.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements and efficient delivery of software solutions.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of software solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and use cases.
- Provide expertise in software development methodologies and best practices.
- Contribute to project planning scheduling and resource allocation for software projects.
- Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards regulations and best practices in software development.
- Identify and propose process improvements related to software analysis and requirements gathering.
- Train and mentor junior team members in software business analysis best practices.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of software tools and technologies to support business needs.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology Business Administration or a related field.
- Certification in software business analysis or a related field (e.g. CBAP CCBA) is required.
- Proven experience (e.g. 5 years) as a software business analyst or in a similar role within the software development industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in software requirements elicitation analysis modeling and documentation.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with Agile Scrum or other software development methodologies.
- Proficiency in using software analysis and documentation tools (e.g. JIRA Confluence Visio).
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
