Overview:
As an IB MYP Spanish Teacher for the academic year 202526 you will play a crucial role in delivering highquality Spanish language instruction within the framework of the IB Middle Years Programme. Your expertise in Spanish language and culture will contribute to the development of students language skills intercultural awareness and global perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and culturally relevant Spanish language lessons
- Implement the IB MYP curriculum including unit planning and assessment design
- Facilitate differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their language acquisition
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary learning and global contexts into the curriculum
- Participate in departmental meetings professional development and parentteacher conferences
- Support students personal and academic growth through advisory or pastoral care responsibilities
- Participate in schoolwide initiatives and events to foster a positive learning environment
- Stay updated with best practices in language teaching and incorporate them into classroom instruction
- Contribute to the schools extracurricular activities and cultural events
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Spanish language education or related field
- Teaching certification or license in Spanish language education
- Proven experience in teaching Spanish language to middle years students
- Demonstrated proficiency in Spanish language (oral and written)
- Knowledge of and experience with the IB MYP curriculum
- Ability to integrate technology into language instruction
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Experience in designing authentic assessments to measure students language proficiency
