Overview
The Process Engineer plays a crucial role in designing implementing and optimizing industrial processes to ensure efficient production and quality standards. They are responsible for analyzing current processes identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and develop manufacturing processes that meet quality cost and production goals.
- Analyze existing processes identify inefficiencies and develop improvement strategies.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost/benefit analyses for process optimization and automation.
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and productivity of manufacturing operations.
- Develop and maintain process documentation including standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
- Identify and troubleshoot processrelated issues to ensure smooth production operations.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to scale up new processes from development to full production.
- Provide technical expertise and support in the selection and installation of new equipment and technologies.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols for all processrelated activities.
- Train and mentor production personnel on new processes and technologies.
- Participate in crossfunctional meetings to provide input on processrelated matters and contribute to strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Participate in the development and implementation of sustainable and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes.
Required qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in process engineering within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software (e.g. Aspen HYSYS COMSOL Multiphysics).
- Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques and tools.
- Proven ability to lead and execute process improvement projects.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Experience in project management and crossfunctional collaboration.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and safety standards in industrial environments.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic work environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in technical writing and documentation.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and drive innovation in process design and development.
- Certification in Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of sustainable engineering practices and environmental regulations is advantageous.
