Job Description
Position: Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Start Date: 1/6/2025
Duration: 8 weeks
Location: Petoskey MI 49770
Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Nights 12
Shift Notes: 36hour guarantee
Weekend Requirements: Required
OnCall Requirements: Possible

Further Specifics:
- Nonbillable Hours: 12 hours of initial hours
- OT/Holiday/Call back Markups: 1.1x Regular rates
- Extension Discount: $1/hr on the initial extension.
** a strict 3strike attendance policy to advocate for their patient population. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift 3 times will be terminated effective immediately. Situations such as communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor. This policy will begin on 6/1/2024.
The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. The RN is a critical member of the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) which cares for over 4000 cardiology patients annually; procedures including PTCA stents TAVR MitraClip and biventricular pacemakers. Approximately 300 open heart surgery patients (1824 hours postop) are discharged from this unit. The CVU also specializes in the care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies. Our NISUS research department manages many national clinical trials using CVU.
Submission Requirements- 1 year of experience (floating is not considered) Required
- EKG comfortability Required
- Neuro CVICU Trauma Preferred
- Managing Vents Preferred
- CRRT and Balloon Pumps Preferred
- Must be willing to float to similar units Required

- References NOT required.
- A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required. All other professions outside of Nursing are not required but preferred.
- Michigan license verification is required for nurses. Please provide LARA and Nursys; if there is a license hit it would be in the travelers best interest to provide a writeup of what happened for the managers review.
- Physical copies of certifications are only required in the profile if listed above.
- Fulltime employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
