Job Overview:
The Cloud Sales Technical Director will be responsible for architecting and executing sophisticated technical sales strategies that are specifically engineered for our Cloud Professional Services division. This pivotal role will facilitate the expansion of our market presence enable achievement of aggressive sales targets and ensure optimal customer outcomes. The position requires the candidate to lead a dynamic sales team committed to excellence and metricsdriven performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Technical Sales Strategies: Formulate and deploy advanced technical sales methodologies addressing revenue acceleration across the Cloud Professional Services portfolio. This includes defining value propositions that align cloud capabilities with customer requirements.
- Client Engagement and Relationship Management: Cultivate and foster strategic relationships with key decisionmakers and influencers within target sectors. Focus on understanding business objectives and ensuring alignment with our cloud solutions.
- Collaborative Solutions Development: Work synergistically with the solutions architecture team to incorporate realtime customer feedback into service offerings ensuring we remain agile and responsive to client needs and market dynamics.
- Market Intelligence and Technology Trends: Engage in continuous learning and analysis of industry trends cloud technology advancements and best practices essential for informing our sales methodologies and enhancing service delivery.
- Team Leadership and Performance Management: Lead a highperforming team of technical sales professionals offering guidance and mentorship to surpass established sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Customer Success Metrics Management: Oversee initiatives designed to measure customer engagement and satisfaction through established metrics and KPIs. Drive continuous value realization from our cloud solutions through proactive client management.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field with a strong emphasis on technical principles.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 8 years in IT technical sales with a concentrated focus on cloud infrastructure demonstrating extensive consulting expertise in AWS and GCP.
- Sales Track Record: A documented history of exceeding sales performance targets achieving significant revenue growth through strategic customer engagement.
- Cloud Economics Acumen: Indepth understanding of IT services sales particularly in relation to cloud economics and the competitive landscape regarding value propositions.
- Preferred Technical Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network (Net) Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Microsoft Certified Azure (MCA) Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) along with cloudspecific certifications. The AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Google Cloud Professional Architect certifications are highly regarded.
- Technical Knowledge Base: Strong expertise in managed IT services project engineering methodologies technical program management and service delivery frameworks.
- Operational and Security Proficiency: Proficient understanding of IT operations including service management principles risk assessment frameworks cybersecurity protocols and foundational knowledge of web technologies encompassing routing protocols Microsoft Exchange Active Directory and server architecture.
- Cloud Technology Experience: Extensive handson experience with cloud technologies including but not limited to server and data migration strategies VPN architecture integration practices and virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware HyperV).
- P&L Management: Proven experience in managing Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities particularly within a range of $14M to $20M.
- Contract Acquisition History: Successful history of securing cloud services contracts ranging from $250K to $1.5M particularly targeting midmarket and enterprise segments.
- Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams integrating both onsite and remote resources to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Rate of Service Expansion: Previous experience in scaling and establishing midsized consulting firms is beneficial.
- Sales Process Competence: Proven results in selling a spectrum of services comprising Cloud Infrastructure Migration Infrastructure Modernization Data Migration DevOps frameworks and managed support services.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication presentation and negotiation abilities particularly in technical environments.
- Sales Process Insight: Detailed understanding of corporate sales processes customer relationship management (CRM) tools and industry best practices for client engagement.
- Relationship Building: Ability to develop and maintain longlasting relationships with clients business partners and internal stakeholders to drive collaborative success.

Compensation:
Competitive salary in the range of $150K $170K annually including OnTarget Earnings (OTE) and a comprehensive benefits package that is competitive within the industry.
