The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Librarian with 3 years of expertise in Library management and workflow. This role is responsible to lead the optimization of library operations through streamlined workflows meticulous documentation and efficient scheduling. Ensure toptier customer support by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues. Manage the processing and tracking of library materials implementing organized shelving and expedited checkout processes. Maintain operational excellence for public access computers. Conduct individual and group training sessions actively promoting and marketing library services to enhance engagement and attract a diverse audience. The ideal person will:
- Develop and implement streamlined workflows procedures and comprehensive documentation to optimize library operations.
- Oversee scheduling and implement robust quality control measures to ensure the delivery of exceptional services.
- Provide meticulous attention to maintaining and supporting public access computers ensuring their operational efficiency and userfriendly experience.
Library Operations Management:
- Systematically process all library materials ensuring meticulous tracking and implementing effective organizational strategies.
- Accurately and efficiently handle the checkin of returned and newly processed materials.
- Expedite the checkout process for waitlisted items ensuring prompt delivery to customers.
- Maintain a wellorganized shelving system promptly placing checkedin materials in designated locations.
- Coordinate the timely dispatch of domestic and international mail with precision.
Customer Support Excellence:
- Extend exemplary customer support through various channels including chat email telephone and inperson interactions.
- Address inquiries promptly and with a friendly demeanor resolving issues to the satisfaction of library patrons.
- Offer accurate and helpful information in response to circulation content and reference questions.
- Conduct personalized and group library training sessions to enhance the knowledge and skills of library users.
- Proactively market and promote library services to broaden engagement and attract a diverse audience.
The Person
- Background in Information Services Library Management or Customer Service demonstrating a solid foundation in library operations.
- Preferably with experience in a technology company showcasing adaptability and familiarity with digital resources.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite utilizing various software to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills effectively conveying information to diverse audiences.
- Exemplary work ethic consistently demonstrating dedication and commitment to delivering highquality service.
- Dedicated to providing excellent client service ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Effective questioning and clarification abilities ensuring accurate understanding of customer needs.
- Exceptional prioritization and time management skills efficiently managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proactive and adaptable readily adjusting to evolving library trends and customer demands.
- Meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy and precision in all library operations.
Note: Preferred candidates will be in the Dublin or willing to relocate to Dublin (locally) Ireland and Open to a January start date. Please note that there is no visa support for this position.
