Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive IB DP Physics curriculum aligned with the standards of the International Baccalaureate.
• Create engaging and interactive lesson plans to facilitate student understanding and mastery of complex physics concepts.
• Prepare and deliver highquality instructional materials utilizing various teaching methods and technologies.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaborative learning.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments providing constructive feedback to learners.
• Guide students through practical experiments and handson activities to apply theoretical knowledge.
• Attend and participate in faculty meetings professional development workshops and school events.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding academic progress.
• Encourage critical thinking and problemsolving skills through group discussions and realworld applications of physics.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and styles within the classroom.
• Contribute to the development of school policies that support academic growth and student welfare.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with other faculty members to enhance integrated learning experiences.
• Provide mentorship and academic guidance to students pursuing higher education in sciencerelated fields.
• Stay current with developments in physics education and the IB framework to continually enhance instructional delivery.
• Promote curiosity about the physical world and foster a culture of inquiry among students.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Physics Education or a related field; a Master s degree is preferred.
• Teaching qualification particularly for the IB curriculum or equivalent certification.
• A minimum of two years of experience teaching physics at the high school level preferably in an IB setting.
• Strong understanding of the IB Diploma Programme framework and assessment methods.
• Demonstrated ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Proficient in using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students parents and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse faculty and student body.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for planning lessons and assessments.
• A passion for physics education and inspiring students to achieve academic excellence.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
• Knowledge of innovative pedagogical practices and research in science education.
