HSE Supervisor

Roles and responsibilities

Monitor the implementation of site HSE policy, Standards and processes.
Familiar with COMPANY and RLIC HSE Requirements as defined within the contract.
Ability to learn and understanding of Qatar legislative requirements pertaining to HSE matters.
Deep knowledge with regards to International Standards and treaties the Project have to adhere to with regards to HSE.
Conduct HSE briefings and toolbox meetings with the site Construction team and workers.
Ensure the correct implementation of the project HSE plan at site.
Be the focal point for all HSE matters at site.
Report any HSE non-compliances to the Project Management and area Construction Manager.
Conduct HSE meetings and follow-up on any required actions.
Control and monitor any identified hazards at site.
Organize HSE functions, Incentive Scheme and HSE awards to celebrate successful achievement of key HSE milestones.
Plan and organize emergency response drill with the relevant authorities as necessary.
Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) on any significant hazards identified at the construction site and
train workers to do JSA.
Analyses and report on HSE data collected with the aim of identifying trends

• Developing and Implementing HSE Policies:

  • Create, implement, and enforce HSE policies and procedures to ensure safe work practices and compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations.
  • Ensure that the policies are consistent with legal requirements, industry best practices, and organizational goals.

• Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification:

  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards and environmental risks on-site or within the workplace.
  • Develop plans to mitigate or eliminate identified risks to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental damage.

• Safety Training and Education:

  • Organize and deliver training sessions for staff to educate them on HSE standards, emergency procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe work practices.
  • Ensure all employees are aware of safety protocols, emergency response plans, and the proper use of equipment.

Desired candidate profile

Formal qualification in HSE and or 5 years working experience
Good attitude and wiliness to learn and participate within the HSE team
Good communicator
You have a very good level of spoken en written English
Technical Skills:

Knowledge of HSE laws and regulations (local, national, and international).
Proficiency in using HSE management systems, risk assessment tools, and software for incident reporting and documentation.
Experience with environmental monitoring and waste management systems.
Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively train staff, report issues, and liaise with management, employees, and regulatory agencies.
Ability to communicate safety and environmental concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical skills to conduct incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and make quick, effective decisions.
Leadership and Teamwork:

Ability to lead and influence a team in promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with workers, supervisors, and senior management.
