You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe requirement is to provide conceptual, basic, FEED and detailed engineering & design expertise related to Process Piping associated with modification and restoration of existing facilities ranging from minor field works to small & medium sized capital projects in Petroleum and Natural gas related industries.
It is mandatory to have sound experience in the work environment as mentioned above and must have the following skills / experience:
Highly conversant with AutoCAD, E3D & S3D.
Reasonable exposure in MicroStation.
Development of Plot plans & Conceptual piping study.
Development of Equipment Layouts & Piping General Arrangement drawings.
Preparation/checking of Isometrics, Vessel Trim drawings, Vessel clip drawings & Nozzle Orientation drawings etc.
Preparation/checking of Valve Schedule and Tie-in Schedule.
Preparation/checking of Pipe support drawings and Pipe Support Schedule.
Preparation/checking of Piping MTO and Pipe support MTO.
Vendor drawings & documents review.
Onshore / Offshore Site survey and preparation of Site survey report.
Coordination with internal disciplines.
Resolution of site/field/construction contractor quarries.
Proven experience in Offshore Greenfield & Brownfield projects is must.
Good knowledge in design reviews of Piping drawings submitted by Vendors / contractors.
Good written & oral communication skills of English language as necessary for performing the above tasks.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Post-qualification Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in design & detailed engineering related to Process Piping for Oil & Gas (onshore & offshore) facilities.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, SolidWorks, or PDMS for creating and modifying piping designs.
Familiarity with 3D modeling software and BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools.
Understanding of piping codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, and ISO.
Knowledge of Piping Systems:
Strong understanding of piping materials, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, and their specific applications.
Knowledge of fluid dynamics, pressure ratings, and piping system design.
Familiarity with valves, flanges, fittings, and other piping components.
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in piping design within industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, or construction.
Experience with piping stress analysis, 3D modeling, and layout planning.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports, documentation, and liaise with team members, contractors, and clients.
Ability to present technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to Detail:
High attention to detail in the design and drafting process to avoid errors in piping layouts, material selection, or specifications.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to resolve design challenges related to space constraints, piping layout conflicts, and construction issues.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate and optimize piping system designs.
