Roles and responsibilities
- Ensures continuity of Process engineering works based on assigned project SOW requirements.
- Is in charge of reviewer/ preparer of process deliverables.
- Is In charge of resolving technical queries of Clients.
- Perform and review process calculations and Process drawings/documents.
- Participate in Site Survey for Process support as per project requirements.
Main Accountabilities:
- Develop and prepare process design basis and Data sheets.
- Carry out and review process studies/process reports under minimum supervision
- Evaluate and optimize process schemes and ensure all process requirements as per SOW.
- Options screening and techno-economic viability studies
- Preparing & checking heat and material balances and associated Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
- Preparing & checking Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Experience with process simulation software (i.e., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, Promax, ProII, Flarenet, Pipenet etc.)
- Sizing, selecting, and specifying process equipment (i.e., pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, Separators, columns, etc.)
- Input into material selection
- Carry out complex hydraulic calculations
- Experience sizing, selecting, and specifying pressure relief devices
- Familiarity with the sizing, selection and specification of process instrumentation
- Provide assistance to the HOD / Lead Engineer, as requested, in the areas of process design, schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings, procurement, activities etc.
- Assist, as required, in the development of department standards and procedures.
- Assist with Quality Audits
- Field experience including troubleshooting, start-up, commissioning, etc. would be a plus
- A deep and thorough understanding of codes, regulatory requirements and industry practices, client specifications. Experience with determining best practices and procedures while contributing to the development of new concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills allowing for effective communication in multidisciplinary project teams involving representative from the client, other departments within Technip Doha, and other consultants and contractors.

Desired candidate profile
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering is required.
Minimum 10 -15 years of chemical process engineering experience in similar EPC / Operating environment for Onshore / Offshore projects. Experience in carrying out Pre-FEED / FEED / Detailed engineering work for Onshore / Offshore facilities is required.
Hierarchically reports to: HOD, Process & Technology.
Operationally reports to: Project Manager, HOD - Process & Technology.
Directly supervises (operationally): Lead engineer.
Key interactions (internally, externally): Engineering Discipline Leads/Managers, Planning Manager, Estimating Manager, Clients, Vendors/third parties and Licensors.
