Roles and responsibilities

• Teaching Art Techniques

  • Instructing students on various techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpting, and digital design.
  • Demonstrating the proper use of art tools and materials, ensuring safety and skill development.

• Lesson Planning

  • Designing engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to students' skill levels.
  • Incorporating diverse art styles and movements to expose students to a wide range of artistic traditions and approaches.

• Fostering Creativity

  • Encouraging students to think creatively and develop their artistic voice.
  • Providing opportunities for students to explore different mediums and experiment with their ideas.

• Art History and Appreciation

  • Teaching students about art history, including famous artists, cultural movements, and significant works of art.
  • Promoting an understanding of how art reflects and influences society and culture.

• Evaluation and Feedback

  • Assessing students' work based on effort, creativity, and adherence to instructions.
  • Providing constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and confidence.

• Classroom Management

  • Maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment.
  • Ensuring proper care and storage of art supplies and materials.

• Extracurricular Activities

  • Organizing art exhibitions, competitions, or projects to showcase students' work.
  • Leading art clubs or workshops to provide additional learning opportunities.

• Collaboration

  • Working with other teachers to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects.
  • Coordinating with school administrators to plan art programs and events.

Desired candidate profile

• A passion for providing outstanding teaching and driven to provide education at an exceptional level. Teachers enjoy an outstanding school environment in which to deliver a dynamic and creative curriculum to motivated students.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Teachers are expected to have a current license/certification in their home country with a minimum of 3 years full-time teaching experience.
• IB PYP experience is preferred.
• Aspiration to work in a world class school with real prospects for enhancing their career.
