Title: Benefits Program Manager

Location: Onsite in (St paul MN)

Duration: 612 months contract

Job description:

  • We are seeking a highly organized and resultsdriven Benefits Program Manager to join our Human Resources team. The Benefits Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design implementation and management of the companys benefits programs ensuring they align with the organizations goals and support employee wellbeing. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of benefits administration regulatory compliance and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities: Benefits Strategy & Program Management:

  • Lead the development implementation and management of employee benefits programs (health dental vision life insurance retirement plans wellness programs etc.) across the organization.
  • Assess and enhance existing benefits offerings to ensure competitiveness costeffectiveness and alignment with employee needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships negotiate contracts and evaluate service delivery to optimize value and employee satisfaction.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:

  • Stay updated on all federal state and local laws and regulations related to employee benefits and ensure the companys programs remain compliant.
  • Oversee the reporting and documentation required for compliance with ERISA ACA HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate benefits audits and ensure adherence to all internal and external reporting requirements.

Employee Communication & Education:

  • Develop and execute communication strategies to inform employees about available benefits including open enrollment plan changes and health and wellness resources.
  • Conduct benefits orientation sessions webinars and other employee training programs to increase engagement and understanding.
  • Create and maintain benefitrelated resources FAQs and guides to ensure clear and consistent messaging across the organization.

Open Enrollment & Benefits Administration:

  • Manage the open enrollment process ensuring employees understand their options and have access to necessary resources for making informed decisions.
  • Oversee the administration of benefits programs including enrollment eligibility claims resolution and processing of benefitsrelated changes.
  • Collaborate with HRIS/Payroll teams to ensure data accuracy and proper integration between systems.

Budget & Cost Management:

  • Develop and manage the benefits budget ensuring that programs are costeffective and within budget parameters.
  • Track claims experience and benefit utilization trends to assess financial impact and make recommendations for future benefit strategies.
  • Work with finance and other departments to align benefits offerings with overall company goals and financial objectives.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyze benefits data and employee feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on benefits utilization costs employee engagement and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Use datadriven insights to recommend enhancements or adjustments to the benefits programs.

Employee Advocacy & Support:

  • Act as a point of contact for employees with questions or issues regarding their benefits providing exceptional customer service and problem resolution.
  • Handle complex benefits inquiries claims disputes and escalated concerns in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications: Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 57 years of experience in benefits program management with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior role.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or similar certifications preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of benefits programs including health insurance retirement plans wellness initiatives and other employee perks.
  • Indepth understanding of benefits regulations and compliance such as ERISA ACA HIPAA and FMLA.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and derive actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and educate employees at all levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Experience with benefits administration platforms HRIS systems and other relevant software tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint) and reporting tools.
