Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications architectural drawings and other relevant documents to accurately estimate roofing materials labor equipment and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborate closely with the sales and project management teams to understand client needs project goals and develop comprehensive bid proposals.
- Prepare detailed takeoffs and cost breakdowns for various roofing systems considering factors such as materials labor equipment permits and overhead.
- Research and identify costeffective solutions while maintaining highquality standards and adhering to industry best practices.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and ensure accuracy in calculations.
- Attend prebid meetings and site visits to gather crucial information and insights for preparing accurate estimates.
- Evaluate potential risks and challenges associated with projects and develop contingency plans.
- Coordinate with vendors suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
- Stay updated on industry trends new roofing technologies and best practices to enhance the accuracy and competitiveness of our bids.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial roofing estimation with a strong understanding of various roofing systems and materials.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy in calculations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
- Proven track record of successfully bidding and securing commercial roofing projects.
- Knowledge of local building codes regulations and industry standards related to roofing projects.
- Ability to work under pressure meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
