Job Summary:
The Utility Operator is responsible for operating monitoring and maintaining utility systems and equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations and compliance with safety and quality standards. This includes managing water air steam and other utility systems required for smooth production processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Operation and Maintenance:
- Operate and monitor utility systems including boilers compressors chillers and water treatment plants.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure optimal functionality.
- Record operational data and maintain logs of equipment performance.

System Monitoring:
- Inspect utility systems regularly to identify potential issues or abnormalities.
- Adjust system parameters to maintain desired performance levels.
- Ensure compliance with operational guidelines and environmental regulations.

Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures during operations and maintenance activities.
- Ensure all equipment complies with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
- Diagnose and resolve issues with utility equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
- Escalate complex problems to the maintenance or engineering teams as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities inspections and system performance.
- Prepare and submit reports on utility operations and efficiency metrics.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in utility operations or a similar role.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of utility systems like boilers chillers compressors and water treatment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Soft Skills: Strong problemsolving communication and teamwork abilities.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in industrial or manufacturing environments with exposure to heat noise and other operational conditions.
- Availability for shift work including nights weekends and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
- Capability to climb ladders and work at heights when necessary.
