Job Description
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.
We are hiring a Staff Nurse Ophthalmology to a leading Hospital in DublinIreland.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgical team during eye surgery
- Carry out patient assessments before and after eye surgery
- Conduct fittings for glasses and contact lenses
- Instruct patients how to care for eye injuries properly or disorders at home
- Collect patient medical histories
- Evaluate and record visual activity and ocular functions
- Conduct vision tests
- Administer medications
Requirements
- Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)registered general nurse (RGN).
- Experience in ophthalmology nursing or a similar profession for at least a year is required and competence in OCT scans biometry visual field testing and retinal photography is highly valued.
- Knowledge of the technology and equipment utilised in ophthalmology for patient monitoring and diagnostic testing.
- Proficiency in ophthalmic diagnostic techniques including biometry retinal photography visual field tests and OCT scans.
- Excellent communication skills and the capacity to inform and assist patients during procedures and diagnosis.
