Key Duties Overview:

As an ESL Teacher you will design and implement lesson plans specifically tailored to English Language Learners (ELL) ensuring alignment with school and state standards. By providing targeted instruction through individualized or smallgroup lessons you will address the diverse needs of ELL students and support their academic success. Collaborating closely with classroom teachers you will integrate English language development strategies across various content areas. Your role will also involve fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth while maintaining clear behavioral expectations to ensure a safe and productive classroom setting. Additionally you will regularly assess student progress adapting instructional methods as needed to support ongoing language development and achievement.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in teaching ESL or a related position.
Possession of a valid Illinois PEL with an ESL endorsement is required.
Proven ability to work effectively with students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
A bachelor s degree from an accredited institution is mandatory with a master s degree in TESOL or a related discipline considered an advantage.
