Job Description

Job Summary

The Business Development Officer will focus on driving growth within the oil gas and marine sectors. This role involves identifying new business opportunities building relationships with key stakeholders and developing strategies to enhance market presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both the oil and gas industry and the marine sector with proven experience in business development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Development

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the oil gas and marine sectors.

Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitive landscape.

2. Client Relationship Management

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients government agencies and industry stakeholders.

Ensure clients have continuous access to support and resources from the company.

3. Business Strategy Implementation

Collaborate with management to develop strategic plans for business growth.

Define clear targets and strategies for achieving business development goals.

4. Tender Management

Manage the preparation and submission of tenders for projects in compliance with client requirements.

Liaise with internal teams to gather necessary information for bid submissions.

5. Performance Monitoring

Track business development metrics and report on progress towards objectives.

Analyze feedback from clients to improve service offerings and customer satisfaction.

6. Networking and Representation

Represent the company at industry events conferences and meetings to promote services and establish connections.

Build a network of contacts within the oil gas and marine industries.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Engineering Business Administration Marketing or a related field (required).

An MBA or relevant certifications in business development is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development within the oil gas or marine sectors.

Proven track record of securing new business and managing client relationships effectively.


Required Skills

1. Strong analytical skills for market analysis and strategy development.

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement.

3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

4. Exceptional negotiation skills with a focus on closing deals.

5. Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve business objectives.

Knowledge of industry regulations and standards relevant to oil gas and marine operations.
