Job description:
Job Summary: The Executive Quality Control is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of dental materials manufactured by the company. This role involves overseeing the implementation of quality control processes conducting inspections and tests and maintaining adherence to regulatory standards. The Executive collaborates with crossfunctional teams to uphold product quality drive continuous improvement and support the companys commitment to excellence in dental healthcare.
Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control Operations:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols for dental material manufacturing processes.
- Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials inprocess samples and finished products to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
- Perform visual inspections physical measurements and chemical analyses using appropriate laboratory equipment and techniques.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements including FDA regulations ISO standards and other applicable guidelines for medical device manufacturing.
- Maintain documentation and records related to quality control activities including test results inspection reports and batch records.
- Support regulatory submissions and audits by providing accurate and timely data and documentation as needed.
3. Quality Assurance Support:
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) teams to investigate nonconformances deviations and customer complaints related to product quality.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and inspections supporting QA teams in addressing findings and implementing improvements.
4. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization waste reduction and quality enhancement within the manufacturing environment.
- Implement Lean Six Sigma principles and other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline quality control processes and increase efficiency.
- Participate in crossfunctional teams to drive quality improvement projects and initiatives across the organization.
5. Training and Development:
- Provide training and guidance to production and quality control personnel on quality standards procedures and best practices.
- Foster a culture of quality excellence and continuous learning within the quality control department.
- Stay informed about industry trends technological advancements and regulatory updates relevant to dental materials manufacturing and quality control.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry Biochemistry Material Science or related field. Advanced degree or certification in Quality Assurance/Control is a plus.
- Previous experience in quality control or quality assurance roles within the medical device or dental materials manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems regulatory requirements and quality control methodologies (e.g. statistical process control root cause analysis).
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and equipment used in chemical and physical testing.
- Excellent analytical skills attention to detail and problemsolving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functional teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and quality management software.
Working Conditions:
- Travel to other company facilities or supplier sites may be necessary occasionally for inspections audits or training purposes.
