Job Description
Designation City Head
Location Bengaluru
Working Days: 6 Days (WFO)
City Head Operations will be responsible for overseeing and managing all operational activities in Bangalore ensuring the efficient functioning of our supply chain operations. The role involves leading logistics planning warehouse management inventory control and cost optimization while continuously improving operational efficiencies. The City Head will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across our citybased operations with a focus on meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and achieving overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
Oversee and manage endtoend city operations including logistics supply chain processes inventory management and warehouse operations.
Monitor daily operational activities to ensure the highest standards of quality efficiency and customer satisfaction are maintained.
Optimize operations costs while improving service levels and operational performance focusing on continuous process improvement.
Lead the implementation and execution of operational plans ensuring alignment with the company s strategic goals and growth targets.
Logistics Planning & Coordination:
Develop and execute logistics strategies to ensure timely and costeffective delivery across the city.
Collaborate with external vendors transporters and partners to ensure seamless and reliable logistics operations.
Plan and coordinate delivery schedules routes and transportation methods to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
Use datadriven insights to continuously refine logistics processes and optimize delivery operations.
Warehouse & Inventory Management:
Oversee warehouse operations to ensure smooth and efficient receipt storage and dispatch of goods.
Implement inventory control systems to track stock levels minimize stockouts and reduce inventory holding costs.
Monitor warehouse KPIs such as order fulfillment time stock accuracy and resource utilization driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead warehouse team operations ensuring safe handling of materials compliance with industry standards and best practices in health and safety.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and manage a diverse team of operations staff including warehouse managers logistics coordinators and other operational personnel.
Foster a culture of performance excellence providing coaching training and performance feedback to team members.
Ensure that all team members are aligned with the company s goals and are working collaboratively to achieve operational targets.
Budget & Cost Control:
Develop and manage the city operations budget ensuring costeffective and efficient resource allocation.
Monitor expenses and implement costsaving initiatives balancing operational effectiveness with financial responsibility.
Identify opportunities to improve costefficiency in logistics warehousing and inventory processes.
DataDriven Decision Making:
Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable solutions.
Work with the technology and data analytics teams to leverage insights and improve operational processes.
Prepare and present reports on key operational performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including sales customer service and product teams to ensure seamless execution of operational tasks.
Develop strong relationships with key external stakeholders including suppliers transport partners and thirdparty logistics providers.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
Experience:
610 years of experience in operations management with at least 23 years in a leadership role in supply chain logistics or warehousing.
Proven experience in managing endtoend supply chain operations including logistics warehouse management and inventory control.
Prior experience in managing large teams and driving operational improvements in a fastpaced environment.
Experience in startups or highgrowth environments is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of logistics planning warehousing inventory management and cost control.
Excellent leadership and people management skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis to drive decisions and process improvements.
Handson experience with supply chain management software ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
