Overview
The Cloud Sales Evangelist plays a critical role in driving the adoption of cloud solutions and services as well as promoting the organizations cloud offerings. They are responsible for shaping the perception and positioning of the companys cloud products in the market and influencing decisionmakers. Their contribution directly impacts the organizations revenue and market share in the cloud services industry.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to drive sales and adoption of cloud solutions.
- Educate and inform potential customers about the advantages of using cloud services.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decisionmakers to promote cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop compelling messaging and materials for cloud offerings.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitors activities to identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Participate in industry events seminars and conferences to represent the organizations cloud products.
- Understand customer needs and provide feedback to the product development team for continuous improvement.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure successful cloud service implementation.
- Support the sales team in understanding technical aspects and benefits of cloud offerings.
- Track and report sales metrics market trends and customer feedback to management.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on selling and positioning cloud solutions.
- Contribute to the development of sales forecasts and budget planning for cloud services.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate untapped markets.
- Represent the organization as a thought leader and expert in cloud technologies.
Required qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field.
- Proven experience in cloud technology sales or business development.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing SaaS PaaS and IaaS solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for effectively articulating technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Indepth knowledge of the cloud market industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Proficiency in using CRM and sales tracking tools to manage leads and opportunities.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills for identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.
- Proactive and selfmotivated with a passion for driving innovation and growth in the cloud industry.
- Experience in negotiating and closing enterpriselevel deals in the technology sector.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients attend conferences and industry events.
- Certifications in cloud technologies and sales (e.g. AWS Certified Google Cloud Certified) are a plus.
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic fastpaced environment.
