Salon Receptionist
Overview:
As a Salon Receptionist you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for salon clients. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service handle salon appointments and manage the reception area. You will be the first point of contact for clients so professionalism and effective communication are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls schedule appointments and manage the salons appointment book
- Assist clients with inquiries and provide information about salon services and products
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area
- Process client payments and manage cash transactions
- Coordinate with salon staff to ensure efficient operations and client satisfaction
- Manage and update client records and appointment schedules
- Address client concerns and escalate issues as needed
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of salon products
- Adhere to salon policies and procedures to ensure a smooth client experience
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing emailing and data entry
- Assist with marketing initiatives and promotional activities
- Monitor and manage salon supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Contribute to a positive and teamworkoriented salon environment
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a customer service role preferably in a salon or spa setting
- Proficient in appointment scheduling software and basic computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment
- Knowledge of salon services products and industry trends
- Basic math skills for handling payments and transactions
- Professional appearance and grooming standards
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
- Understanding of confidentiality and discretion when handling client information
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Certification in CPR and first aid (preferred)
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the role
