Overview:
The EDI Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth exchange of electronic data between the organization and its partners. They are responsible for managing EDI systems resolving data transmission issues and ensuring compliance with EDI standards and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain electronic data interchange systems
- Monitor EDI transmissions and address errors or disruptions
- Develop and implement EDI solutions to meet business requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to set up new EDI connections
- Perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Assist in the onboarding of new trading partners
- Participate in EDI software upgrades and enhancements
- Generate and analyze EDIrelated reports
- Provide technical support to resolve EDIrelated issues
- Stay updated on EDI standards and best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a related field such as Information Technology or Computer Science
- Proven experience in EDI implementation and support
- Familiarity with EDI standards including ANSI X12 EDIFACT and AS2
- Proficiency in EDI mapping and translation tools
- Knowledge of XML JSON and other data formats
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detailoriented with a focus on data accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Experience with ERP systems and integration is a plus
