Job Description
Overview:
The SAP BWABAP Consultant plays a crucial role in the organization by providing technical expertise in SAP BW and ABAP development. They are responsible for designing developing and implementing SAP BW solutions to meet business requirements and improve data management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for SAP BW solutions
- Design develop and implement SAP BW data models and data flows
- Customize SAP BW BEx queries and reports to meet specific business needs
- Create and maintain ABAP programs function modules and enhancements for SAP BW
- Optimize and enhance existing SAP BW solutions for performance and scalability
- Provide technical support and resolve issues related to SAP BW and ABAP development
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate SAP BW with other systems and applications
- Conduct testing and debugging of SAP BW and ABAP programs
- Document technical designs specifications and test plans
- Participate in system upgrades and enhancements for SAP BW and related technologies
- Stay updated with the latest SAP BW and ABAP development tools and best practices
- Train and mentor junior team members in SAP BW and ABAP development
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for SAP BW processes and solutions
- Adhere to organizational standards and guidelines for SAP BW and ABAP development
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- 5 years of experience in SAP BW and ABAP development
- Proficiency in data modeling and ETL concepts in SAP BW
- Experience in customizing SAP BW BEx queries and reports
- Strong knowledge of ABAP programming language and development tools
- Experience with SAP HANA and integration with SAP BW
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize SAP BW solutions for performance
- Excellent understanding of SAP BW extraction transformation and loading processes
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
- SAP BW certification is a plus
- Experience in SAP BW on HANA is preferred
- Knowledge of SAP Business Objects is an advantage
