Job Description
Overview
As an Immigration Counsellor with a focus on the Australia market you play a vital role in assisting individuals and families in navigating the complex immigration process. Your expertise and guidance directly impact the success of their visa applications residency and citizenship status. You will work closely with clients applying your knowledge of immigration laws and policies to provide personalized advice and support.
Key responsibilities
- Assessing clients eligibility for various visa categories and providing guidance on the requirements
- Preparing and reviewing visa application forms and supporting documents
- Conducting research on immigration laws policies and updates related to Australia
- Advising clients on visa options and eligibility criteria
- Ensuring accuracy and completeness in all documentation and application submissions
- Coordinating with government agencies legal representatives and other relevant parties
- Providing assistance and support to clients throughout the application process
- Keeping abreast of changes in immigration regulations and policies
- Offering predeparture and postarrival orientation and settlement services
- Handling inquiries and resolving issues related to immigration matters
- Collaborating with internal teams to streamline processes and enhance service delivery
- Maintaining confidentiality and ethical conduct in all client interactions
- Participating in professional development and training opportunities
- Contributing to marketing and outreach activities to attract potential clients
- Producing reports and maintaining accurate records of client interactions and applications
Required qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Law Migration Law International Relations or relevant field
- Proven experience working as an Immigration Consultant or Counsellor with a focus on Australia immigration
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian immigration policies visa categories and regulations
- Familiarity with immigration application procedures and documentation requirements
- Exceptional understanding of migration law and procedures pertaining to Australia
- Excellent communication skills including proficiency in English and ideally additional languages
- Strong analytical and research abilities to interpret complex immigration regulations
- Customer serviceoriented approach with a clientfocused mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team in a fastpaced environment
- Detailoriented and organized with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity
- Proficiency in using relevant software and applications for documentation and client management
- Certification or accreditation as an Immigration Consultant or equivalent is an advantage
- Proactive attitude towards staying updated with changing immigration laws and procedures
- Willingness to adapt to a dynamic and evolving immigration landscape
