Job Description
Overview:
The Oracle Cloud Subscription Management Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the subscription lifecycle for Oracle Cloud services within the organization. This role is essential for ensuring efficient utilization of cloud resources cost optimization and adherence to subscription policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize Oracle Cloud subscription lifecycle including provisioning renewals and terminations.
- Implement best practices for Oracle Cloud subscription management to ensure costeffectiveness and utilization.
- Work closely with procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate billing and cost allocation for cloud subscriptions.
- Develop and maintain processes for monitoring and controlling Oracle Cloud usage and costs.
- Collaborate with technical teams to align subscription management with capacity planning and resource optimization.
- Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing cloud subscriptions based on usage and business needs.
- Support the implementation of subscription governance and compliance policies.
- Participate in vendor negotiations and contract management related to Oracle Cloud subscriptions.
- Conduct regular audits of Oracle Cloud subscriptions to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
- Resolve issues related to Oracle Cloud subscriptions and billing discrepancies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Oracle Cloud certification or equivalent technical training.
- Proven experience in managing Oracle Cloud subscriptions and services.
- Strong understanding of cloud subscription management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in analyzing cloud usage data and identifying optimization opportunities.
- Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams including finance procurement and technical teams.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills to resolve complex subscription management challenges.
- Experience in implementing and managing subscription governance and compliance policies.
- Capability to negotiate with vendors and manage contracts related to cloud subscriptions.
- Strong communication and documentation skills to report on subscription management KPIs and recommendations.
