Job Description
Overview
Key responsibilities
- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures such as Xrays MRIs CT scans and ultrasounds.
- Collaborate with referring physicians to understand patient histories and make accurate diagnoses.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of radiology equipment and maintain quality control standards.
- Provide consultation and guidance to other healthcare providers on the appropriate use and interpretation of imaging studies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
- Review and analyze imaging results to identify abnormalities or injuries.
- Document findings and communicate diagnostic results to the medical team and patients.
- Stay updated on technological advancements and best practices in radiology and diagnostic imaging.
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety guidelines in the use of radiation and imaging equipment.
- Assist in training and supervising radiologic technologists and other support staff.
Required qualifications
- MD/ DNB/ DMRD in Radiology or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Valid state medical license and board certification in Radiology.
- Proven experience in interpreting diagnostic imaging studies and providing accurate diagnoses.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using and maintaining radiology equipment and technology.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with medical teams and patients.
- Indepth knowledge of radiology protocols patient safety and radiation protection measures.
- Ability to prioritize and manage a high caseload while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in the field of radiology.
- Adherence to ethical and professional standards in clinical practice and patient care.
