Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Backend Developer with extensive experience in Python and Django to join our growing team. In this role you will play a critical part in designing developing and scaling our core SaaS platform. You will lead and mentor a team of developers ensuring the delivery of highquality efficient and secure backend systems.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and Implement: Propose and implement scalable technical architecture solutions ensuring system performance and security aligned with enterprise software standards for Python/Django development.
- Lead and Mentor: Lead and mentor a team of backend developers fostering a culture of collaboration and code excellence. Ensure adherence to coding standards system scalability and efficient processing of large datasets from multiple sources.
- Collaborate: Work closely with Product and UI teams to translate complex requirements into seamless backend/frontend integrations using Python Node.js and React.
- API Development: Design and develop robust RESTful APIs microservices and integrations with thirdparty systems.
- Database Expertise: Design and manage database architecture (MySQL MongoDB) to ensure data integrity performance and scalability.
- Cloud Deployment: Leverage your strong cloud experience to optimize deployments and infrastructure on leading cloud platforms (AWS GCP Azure).
- Performance Optimization: Continuously analyze and optimize system performance identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest technologies and trends in backend development particularly in AI/ML and SaaS.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Python and Django.
- Proven experience in building and scaling SaaS products.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Expertise in database design and management (MySQL MongoDB).
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS GCP Azure) and deployment strategies.
- Experience with Node.js and React is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI/ML and its applications in process engineering is highly valued.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in a fastpaced startup environment.
