Job Description
Job title: Procurement and Vendor Development Lead BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems)
Location: Gurgaon
Hiring for: One of the largest players in the Renewable sector
Qualification: B.Tech in Electrical
Experience:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in procurement and vendor development within the Renewable Power Industry specifically in Solar Battery Wind and related Electrical Systems and Components.
- Possesses a strong technocommercial background with excellent negotiation skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle the procurement of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions and associated components including battery cells Power Conversion Systems (PCS) transformers cables busbars switchgears Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
- Identify and develop reliable vendors to establish a robust supply chain both within India and internationally ensuring alignment with project requirements and quality standards.
- Conduct thorough evaluation and negotiation of commercial contracts covering aspects such as pricing delivery timelines warranties spare parts and logistics. Oversee the issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) and coordinate all activities from postPO issuance until the final delivery of goods.
- Manage the importation process including customs clearance and associated documentation to ensure timely and compliant delivery of imported components.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cost reduction strategy aimed at optimizing procurement expenses while maintaining the quality and reliability of components.
- Prepare and maintain detailed MIS reports to track procurement performance vendor relationships and costsaving initiatives ensuring transparency and accountability in procurement activities.
