Overview
The Purchase Executive plays a pivotal role in the procurement process within the organization ensuring that materials and services are sourced effectively and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and maintain a database of reliable sources.
- Negotiate contracts pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Prepare purchase orders and confirm orders with suppliers to ensure timely procurement.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary to prevent stock shortages.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to determine product specifications and requirements.
- Analyze market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases pricing and supplier performance.
- Review and approve supplier invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Conduct regular audits of supplier performance and address any noncompliance issues.
- Assist in developing purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Provide reports and insights on purchasing activities and expenditures to management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to enhance procurement strategies.
- Resolve any issues related to procurement including delivery delays or quality concerns.
- Implement costreduction initiatives while ensuring quality and service levels.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Minimum of 24 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Understanding of legal aspects related to procurement and contracting.
- Experience in supplier evaluation and relationship management.
- Knowledge of market trends and product sourcing.
- Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions.
- Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
