Overview
The Inspection Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of engineering projects. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of materials equipment and products as per regulatory and company standards.
- Document inspection findings including detailed reports on defects and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design inspection processes and establish quality benchmarks.
- Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance during inspections.
- Identify and analyze defects or nonconformances and propose corrective actions.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate inspections.
- Perform testing and validation of equipment as part of the inspection processes.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of inspection.
- Participate in root cause analysis for qualityrelated issues.
- Train and mentor junior inspection staff on best practices and procedures.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and improve inspection processes.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
- Prepare presentations and reports for management and stakeholders regarding inspection outcomes.
- Manage inspection schedules to align with project timelines and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during all inspection activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar inspection or quality assurance role.
- Certification in quality control or inspection (e.g. API ASNT CWI).
- Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Familiarity with technical drawing interpretation and mechanical systems.
- Experience with NonDestructive Testing (NDT) techniques preferred.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
