Overview
The Business Intelligence (BI) Technical Administrator plays a crucial role in an organization by managing the BI infrastructure ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of data analysis and reporting processes. With a minimum of four years of experience this role focuses on supporting the organizations BI tools and applications ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and operational requirements. The BI Technical Administrator will collaborate closely with data analysts business stakeholders and IT teams to optimize data flow and integrity while providing technical expertise and support. This position demands a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices in BI administration. Ultimately the BI Technical Administrator contributes significantly to datadriven decisionmaking helping to uncover insights that drive strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage BI systems and platforms ensuring optimal performance.
- Oversee data integration processes including ETL tasks.
- Create and maintain BI dashboards and reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather BI requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve BIrelated technical issues.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through regular audits.
- Support user training and provide technical guidance.
- Monitor and optimize SQL queries for performance.
- Document BI processes configurations and workflows.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with IT to manage BI system upgrades.
- Develop and maintain BI best practices and standards.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- 4 years of experience in BI administration.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau Power BI or QlikView.
- Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g. Talend Informatica).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
- Proficient in data modeling techniques.
- Handson experience in troubleshooting BI systems.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Python or R is a plus.
- Certifications in relevant BI tools or methodologies are preferred.
