Job Description
Overview
The SAP ABAP Developer plays a crucial role in the successful implementation and maintenance of SAP systems within our organization. With a strong emphasis on developing custom solutions this role requires a seasoned professional with at least four years of handson experience in ABAP programming. The ideal candidate will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications ensuring seamless integration and functionality of SAP modules. Our mission is to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation through wellstructured ABAP solutions. As part of our dedicated team you will contribute to the continuous improvement of applications that support our business objectives and optimize our processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain ABAP programs including reports interfaces and enhancements.
- Collaborate with functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Create and modify data dictionary objects such as tables views and data elements.
- Develop and optimize performance of ABAP code for efficiency.
- Implement Smart Forms and SAPscript for document printing.
- Manage IDoc interfaces for data exchange with external systems.
- Develop Function Modules and RFCs for remote function calls.
- Utilize ObjectOriented ABAP principles in application development.
- Conduct unit testing to ensure quality and reliability of developed solutions.
- Participate in code reviews ensuring adherence to standards.
- Maintain documentation for technical specifications and processes.
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging of issues in existing applications.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices.
- Support endusers by providing technical assistance and training.
- Engage in system upgrades and migration projects as required.
- Promote best practices for coding testing and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of ABAP development experience.
- Strong understanding of SAP ERP modules and architecture.
- Experience with data modeling and understanding of database concepts.
- Proficient in SAP ABAP programming language and tools.
- Handson experience with Web Dynpro and/or Fiori application development.
- Familiarity with SAP enhancement frameworks (BAdIs User Exits).
- Experience in working with transport management systems.
- Excellent debugging and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in SAP solution manager for application lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of integration points with other SAP and nonSAP systems.
- Experience in Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Certification in SAP ABAP is an advantage.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
