Overview
The Fresher Home Care Staff Nurse plays a crucial role in providing highquality nursing care to patients in their homes. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in their homes.
- Assist patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene and grooming.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed.
- Keep accurate and uptodate patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness practices.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for the patient.
- Assist in physical therapy exercises as directed by a physician.
- Perform wound care and other medical procedures as required.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and needs.
- Maintain professional relationships with patients and families.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Adhere to healthcare policies and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid nursing degree from a recognized institution.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Knowledge of home care procedures and protocols.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to handle medical equipment and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy laws.
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Adaptability to changing patient needs and environments.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in a clinical setting is an advantage but freshers welcome.
