Overview
The General Medicine MD DNB Consultant plays a pivotal role in the healthcare system particularly in providing comprehensive care to patients suffering from a range of medical conditions. This position is crucial in diagnosing and managing diseases ensuring optimal treatment outcomes and maintaining high standards of patient care. Working at a toptier medical facility in Salem Tamil Nadu the consultant will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and facilitate patient recovery. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
- Collaborate with specialists to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Provide clear and effective communication of diagnosis and treatment options to patients.
- Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary.
- Participate in case reviews and clinical audits.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
- Mentor junior medical staff and facilitate their learning.
- Engage in continuous medical education and professional development.
- Contribute to research projects and quality improvement initiatives.
- Attend departmental meetings and contribute to policy development.
- Provide oncall services as required.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- MD or DNB in General Medicine.
- State Medical Council registration.
- A minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of internal medicine and related specialties.
- Proficient in electronic health records and hospital management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in highpressure situations.
- Compassionate and patientfocused approach.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities.
- Commitment to continuous education and professional development.
- Experience in research and clinical trials is an asset.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and healthcare standards.
