The Ophthalmologist Phaco Surgeon at Max Vision will play a crucial role in providing highquality eye care services in Tamil Nadu. This position involves performing advanced cataract surgeries using phacoemulsification techniques to restore vision and improve the quality of life for patients. With a focus on both surgical proficiency and compassionate patient care the Ophthalmologist will work collaboratively with a dedicated medical team to diagnose treat and manage various eye conditions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of ocular diseases and possess a patientcentered approach to care. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess patient vision and eye health.
- Diagnose and treat a range of ocular diseases and conditions.
- Perform phacoemulsification cataract surgeries with precision and care.
- Utilize advanced surgical techniques to minimize patient recovery time.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
- Educate patients about procedures potential risks and postoperative care.
- Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals in patient management.
- Monitor postoperative patients to ensure optimal recovery.
- Utilize electronic medical records for patient documentation and management.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness.
- Conduct clinical research and contribute to the advancement of ophthalmology.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Participate in training and mentoring of junior medical staff.
- Stay abreast of advancements in ophthalmic technology and surgical techniques.
- Attend relevant workshops and conferences for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with a specialization in Ophthalmology.
- Board certification in Ophthalmology is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in cataract surgery.
- Proven experience in performing phacoemulsification surgeries.
- Strong understanding of ocular pharmacology and surgical techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment.
- Commitment to ongoing education and skill development.
- Knowledge of electronic medical record systems.
- License to practice medicine in Tamil Nadu.
- Strong ethical standards and patient advocacy.
- Available for flexible working hours including weekends as needed.
- Ability to handle highpressure situations and make critical decisions swiftly.
- Familiarity with advancements in ophthalmic surgical instruments.
- Willingness to engage in clinical research and community service.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus especially Tamil and English.
