Job Description

Overview

The Radiologist MD DNB DM RD Consultant plays a pivotal role in the healthcare delivery system at our facility in Jagadhri Haryana. This specialist is responsible for interpreting diagnostic imaging studies providing timely and accurate reports and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role is integral to diagnosing a wide range of medical conditions and determining effective treatment plans. As a consultant the radiologist not only engages in clinical practice but also contributes to the educational aspects of radiology mentoring medical students and residents. The demand for highly skilled radiologists is everincreasing underscoring the significance of this role in enhancing healthcare services. By employing advanced imaging technologies and techniques the radiologist ensures patient safety and comfort ultimately improving healthcare quality in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze a wide variety of diagnostic imaging studies including Xrays CT scans MRIs and ultrasounds.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss imaging results and recommend subsequent steps.
  • Conduct interventional radiology procedures as required.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in imaging practices.
  • Review and update imaging protocols to maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Engage in continuous education and professional development activities.
  • Supervise and train radiology residents and interns in clinical and practical scenarios.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient treatment plans.
  • Keep accurate records and documentation of patient interactions and imaging studies.
  • Utilize advanced imaging technologies to improve diagnosis accuracy.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects.
  • Provide consultations to medical staff regarding radiological findings.
  • Educate patients about procedures and address any concerns they may have.
  • Manage and oversee radiology department operations and workflow efficiency.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in radiology and medical imaging technology.

Required Qualifications

  • MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
  • MD or DNB in Radiology from a recognized institution.
  • DM in Radiodiagnosis is preferred.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Haryana.
  • Minimum of 35 years of clinical experience in radiology.
  • Proficiency in a variety of imaging modalities and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of radiological anatomy and pathology.
  • Experience in interventional radiology is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care.
  • Knowledge of current regulations and standards related to radiology practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs.
