Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including Xrays CT scans MRIs and ultrasounds.
- Analyze and interpret medical images and provide accurate diagnostic reports.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop treatment plans based on imaging results.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of advancements in radiology practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and radiation protection standards.
- Educate patients on procedures and answer queries regarding imaging processes.
- Document findings and maintain accurate medical records.
- Participate in tumor boards and other interdisciplinary meetings.
- Contribute to quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Supervise junior radiologists and support staff.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training activities.
- Conduct research studies as required and contribute to scientific publications.
- Provide oncall support and consultation as needed.
- Assist in developing radiology department policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and communication.
Required Qualifications
- MD in Radiology from a recognized medical college.
- DNB in Radiology is essential.
- DM in Radiology or equivalent specialty training is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a radiology department.
- Proven skills in advanced imaging technologies.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced multidisciplinary environment.
- Proficiency in using radiology information systems and PACS.
- Commitment to patient care and quality improvement.
- Strong teamwork and leadership abilities.
- Flexibility to work in different shifts as needed.
- Membership in professional organizations is advantageous.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing education and training.
