Job Description
We are on the lookout for a Software Engineer II Fullstack (Backend / Mobile) (Data Platform) with a passion for building highscalable & complex data streaming products serving millions of customers to join our Perseus team. Perseus is an inhouse Global Product Analytics Service that collects and streams granular frontend and backend user interaction data in real time to multiple consumers enabling multiple internal features of DH products.
As a member of the Tech Foundation Team youll support Delivery Heros rapid innovation and growth. Youll work on foundational systems that enable faster feature development security and reliability across our global engineering community. Every enhancement you make will contribute to our teams ability to build scale and deliver quality featuresultimately impacting millions of users worldwide.
Your Mission:
- You will work on the inhouse product analytics solution tracking millions of events per minute from end customers.
- You will contribute not only to the backend services but also to the service SDKs for Android iOS and web used by millions of users.
- You will also have the opportunity to contribute with system architecture designs during our weekly refinement meetings.
- You will be a part of our agile team following SCRUM best practices.
- You will be fully responsible for the implementation of the services you will work with. From the code running on the servers (classic software engineer skills) to the code needed for deploying the infrastructure (devops skills).
- You will mentor other members of the team and new joiners.
- Review current techdebt and provide improvements as required.
Qualifications :
- 3 years experience working with mobile programming languages for Android or iOS (Kotlin or Swift ). Ideally contributing to mobile SDKs.
- 3 years Expertise in one or more object oriented programming languages preferably Golang and/or Kotlin Swift Typescript and the eagerness to learn more.
- 5 years Experience with developing complex software systems scaling to millions of users with production quality deployment monitoring and reliability.
- You love working in an environment where you constantly experiment and iterate quickly.
- You have passion for secure clean and beautiful code with an eye for simplicity and pragmatism.
- Mentorship skills. Ability to successfully transfer knowledge to your colleagues.
Nice to Have:
- Cloud architecture experience (preferably but not limited to GCP and Kubernetes)
- Experience in streaming technologies such as Kafka / AWS Kinesis / GCP Pubsub / Redpanda
- Experience in Mobile development
