The Jira Plugin Developer plays a crucial role in enhancing the functionality of Jira by developing maintaining and customizing plugins that meet the unique needs of our clients. As part of a talented development team based in Bengaluru this position is pivotal in ensuring seamless integration and an optimized user experience. The developer will engage directly with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications driving innovation and efficiency within project management processes. This hybrid role combines the flexibility of remote work with the collaborative spirit of inoffice teamwork fostering an environment that encourages creativity agility and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of Jiras architecture and will be tasked with creating scalable and highperforming plugins that align with industry best practices while also supporting troubleshooting and system optimization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain Jira plugins tailored to client requirements.
- Collaborate with product management to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Integrate Jira with external applications and services using REST APIs.
- Ensure code quality through regular code reviews and unit testing.
- Document development processes code changes and functionality additions.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues involved with existing plugins or integrations.
- Stay updated with Jira API changes and relevant updates in practices.
- Contribute to the agile development process attending daily scrums and sprint planning.
- Utilize version control systems for collaboration and deployment.
- Enhance user experience by working closely with UI/UX designers.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of plugins.
- Implement security measures in plugins to safeguard data.
- Support the testing and deployment of plugins in various environments.
- Train and assist internal teams and clients on plugin usage and best practices.
- Participate in knowledgesharing sessions within the development team.
