Job Description:The Accounting & Finance Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and provide impactful financial strategies that align with our business goals particularly in the real estate sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Bills Payable:
Conduct due diligence on contractor and purchase bills ensuring approval in the ERP system.
Review and approve utility and other related bills in ERP.
Ensure timely processing of bank payments and receipts in ERP.
Manage timely Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) in ERP.
Pay utility bills before the discount due date and ensure vendor GST compliance liaising with vendors as needed.
Ensure vendor payments are made on time and perform vendor ledger reconciliations and balance confirmations for audit purposes.
Review and approve petty cash expenses in ERP. - GST Compliance:
Stay updated with Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations and communicate relevant notifications to the team.
Assess GST applicability in redevelopment and greenfield projects ensuring compliance.
Manage GST audits and prepare necessary documentation including filing of GSTR3B and GSTR1.
Perform reconciliations of GST returns against revenue and respond to queries from tax authorities. - TDS Compliance:
Maintain indepth knowledge of Direct Tax (TDS) regulations and applicability on various projects and vendor payments.
Prepare detailed TDS reports and ensure timely payments and filings of ETDS returns.
Generate and distribute TDS certificates to vendors. - Other Statutory Compliance:
Calculate and manage Professional Tax Provident Fund and ESIC liabilities; ensuring timely payment and filing of returns. - General Accounting and Team Management:
Maintain knowledge of general accounting procedures Excel and accounting software.
Ensure the confidentiality of organizational information and foster teamwork among staff members.
Demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Qualifications: Inter CA / Final CA preferred
Relevant experience of 48 years in accounting and finance specifically within the real estate sector.
