The Kitchen & Laundry Technician is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and repairing kitchen and laundry equipment in the hotel to ensure smooth and efficient operation. The technician will ensure all equipment is working in optimal condition perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair requests to minimize downtime in the kitchen and laundry areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kitchen Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on kitchen appliances and equipment such as ovens fryers refrigerators dishwashers and cooking ranges.
- Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize disruptions in hotel operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards related to kitchen equipment maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and safely store tools and equipment.
- Laundry Equipment Maintenance:
- Inspect maintain and repair laundry equipment such as washing machines dryers and ironing machines.
- Monitor and ensure the efficient operation of laundry systems to meet the hotels service standards.
- Address any issues related to laundry equipment malfunctioning or operational inefficiencies.
- Keep records of laundry equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Respond to immediate maintenance requests from kitchen and laundry departments.
- Quickly diagnose problems with equipment and perform or coordinate repairs in a timely manner.
- Keep a log of all maintenance activities including repairs inspections and servicing.
- Preventive Maintenance:
- Perform regular scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on kitchen and laundry equipment to extend lifespan and ensure high performance.
- Update records of all preventive maintenance actions and provide reports to the Maintenance Manager.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to hotel safety guidelines standards and regulations.
- Ensure all equipment operates in compliance with the hotels safety protocols as well as local health and safety regulations.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the kitchen and laundry departments to ensure that equipment downtime does not disrupt hotel operations.
Provide technical advice and support to kitchen and laundry staff when needed.
Qualifications :
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Vocational or technical training in appliance maintenance or related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen and laundry equipment maintenance preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of kitchen appliances and laundry equipment is essential.
