The Admission Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective parents through the admission process at our preschool. This role involves providing information building rapport and helping parents make wellinformed decisions regarding their child s early education. The Admission Counsellor will work closely with the school administration and teachers to ensure a seamless and welcoming experience for parents and students.
Key Responsibilities: Parent Counselling:
Guide parents through the admission and enrolment processes from initial inquiry to final registration ensuring all necessary documents are completed and submitted.
Coordinate and facilitate school tours for parents showcasing classrooms play areas and other facilities to create a positive impression.
Communication and Followup:
Maintain regular communication with prospective parents to provide updates answer questions and build trust.
Follow up on leads generated from various sources including walkins phone inquiries and online applications.
Database Management:
Maintain accurate records of prospective and enrolled students in the schools database.
Track inquiries applications and enrollments to support strategic admissions planning and reporting.
Events and Marketing Support:
Assist in organizing open house events parent orientations and workshops to attract prospective parents.
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent and appealing promotion of the school s programs on social media brochures and other platforms.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the teaching and administrative teams to ensure a smooth transition for new students and address parents ongoing concerns.
Provide feedback on parent preferences and trends to support continuous improvement of the schools admission process and offerings.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in education psychology communications or a related field.
12 years of experience in customer service counselling or admissions preferably in an educational setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with parents and children.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and a passion for working with families.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of database management.
Ability to work independently take initiative and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
