Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Solar Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Solar Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design development and implementation of solar energy projects. This role requires strong technical expertise excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to manage multiple aspects of a solar project from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Assessment & Feasibility:
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to determine optimal solar panel placement and energy generation potential.
- Analyze environmental and structural factors that could impact system performance (e.g. shading roof integrity and site accessibility).
- Prepare detailed site reports including recommendations for system design equipment and installation.
- Project Execution:
- Manage daytoday activities during the installation phase coordinating with contractors vendors and internal teams.
- Ensure the project stays on schedule within budget and meets quality and safety standards.
- Supervise commissioning testing and troubleshooting of solar energy systems.
- Monitor and report on project milestones risks and technical issues offering solutions when necessary.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare project documentation including technical specifications drawings and compliance certifications.
- Develop and maintain project schedules progress reports and budget updates.
- Ensure that all necessary permits licenses and approvals are obtained before the installation phase.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Ensure systems are designed and installed according to regulatory codes safety standards and best practices.
- Perform inspections and audits to verify the quality of installation and system performance.
- Provide technical support and training to installation teams to ensure highquality and efficient work.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Renewable Energy or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 25 years of experience in solar project engineering or related roles.
- Experience with the design installation and commissioning of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
- Strong knowledge of solar system components including inverters racking systems electrical systems and energy storage solutions.
- Skills:
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems including AC and DC wiring.
- Knowledge of solar industry best practices technologies and innovations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent problemsolving analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform site visits including walking climbing and working outdoors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients vendors and team members.
