Job Description
Job Title: Medical Officer
Location: Solan Himachal Pradesh
The Medical Officer is a crucial role within the healthcare system responsible for providing highquality medical care to patients in various settings. This position requires a compassionate and skilled professional who can diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions while adhering to clinical guidelines and facilitating patientcentered care. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and healthcare professionals the Medical Officer will ensure that patients receive optimal care and contribute to community health initiatives in Solan. In addition to direct patient care the Medical Officer will be involved in training and mentoring junior staff participating in health education programs and assisting in the administration of health services. The role demands a proactive approach to public health issues and collaboration with local healthcare providers to improve health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and clinical assessments.
- Diagnose medical conditions and create effective treatment plans.
- Provide comprehensive medical care and followup to patients.
- Collaborate with specialists and healthcare professionals for patient care.
- Advise patients on preventive and wellness strategies.
- Manage emergency medical situations as they arise.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Participate in health awareness and educational programs.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and interns.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Conduct patient referrals to appropriate specialists as needed.
- Stay updated on medical advancements and best practices.
- Participate in community outreach and health promotion activities.

Required Qualifications:
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical college.
- State Medical Council registration.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in clinical practice.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare laws and ethics.
- Excellent diagnostic and treatment planning skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficient in medical software and electronic health records.
- Effective communication and patient interaction skills.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
- Experience in public health initiatives is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to community health and wellness.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Basic life support certification is required.
- Familiarity with alternative medicine practices is a plus.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends.
