Job Description
This role is for one of the Weekdays clients
We are seeking a Founding DevOps Engineer to take full ownership of building and scaling our backend infrastructure. In this highimpact role you ll collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers to design scalable pipelines contribute to backend development and drive technical innovation. This is a rare opportunity to shape the technical foundation of our platform and play a critical role in every stage of the engineering lifecycle from development and testing to integration and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Development: Design implement and manage robust scalable and secure cloud infrastructure to power AIdriven applications.
- AI/ML Collaboration: Partner with AI/ML engineers to create and optimize scalable data pipelines and AI workflows.
- Backend Development: Actively contribute to backend development efforts ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Automation & Testing: Build and maintain automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable code delivery.
- Innovation & Strategy: Drive innovation through cuttingedge solutions aligned with the product roadmap and business goals.
- ThirdParty Integration: Collaborate with external partners to integrate and ensure compatibility with thirdparty services.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring systems for realtime insights and proactively address infrastructure challenges.
What You Bring
- Experience:
- 3 years of DevOps experience with a strong focus on backend development and cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI/CD).
- Handson experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong scripting/programming skills (e.g. Python Bash).
- Expertise in infrastructureascode tools (e.g. Terraform Ansible).
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work closely with crossfunctional teams particularly AI/ML engineers.
- ProblemSolving: A proactive solutionoriented approach to optimizing and scaling systems.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to align technical initiatives with product and business strategies.
