Overview
The MBA Intern for Real Estate plays a critical role in supporting the investment and development teams by providing analytical insights and strategic recommendations. This internship opportunity allows aspiring real estate professionals to gain handson experience in the fastpaced world of real estate investment and development. Interns will be immersed in various projects collaborating with crossfunctional teams to assess market trends conduct due diligence and evaluate potential investment opportunities. This position is vital to our organization as it fosters the next generation of real estate leaders and enhances our ability to make datadriven decisions that lead to successful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the analysis of real estate markets and trends.
- Conduct financial modeling to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Support the preparation of investment memos and presentations.
- Perform market research to identify potential acquisition targets.
- Collaborate with teams to develop comprehensive due diligence reports.
- Participate in property inspections and evaluations.
- Engage with external partners including brokers and investors.
- Compile and analyze property performance data.
- Create and maintain financial databases and dashboards.
- Assist in the drafting of lease agreements and other documents.
- Support project management tasks on ongoing developments.
- Prepare reports on key performance indicators and metrics.
- Participate in strategy sessions and team meetings.
- Assure compliance with regulatory requirements in transactions.
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an MBA with a focus on finance or real estate.
- Strong academic background with relevant coursework.
- Prior internship experience in finance investment or real estate preferred.
- Proficient in Excel and financial modeling techniques.
- Experience with data analysis tools and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Knowledge of local real estate markets and trends.
- Familiarity with real estate investment terminology.
- Basic knowledge of financial statements and analysis.
- A demonstration of problemsolving and critical thinking abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships.
