Role Summary:
You will be working with a team of highly knowledgeable professionals and you will undertake and perform accurately and confidently engineering coordination and project team supporting tasks throughout the stages of international Oil and Gas Power Plants Energy and Infrastructure Projects from tendering to startup and operation leading effectively other team members under responsibility.
What will you need to do:
- Assist the Mechanical Discipline Head in the performance of everyday work especially regarding internal coordination external interfaces handling and Discipline Technical advancement and development.
- Review Mechanical documents received by 3rd parties (Engineering Subcontractors / Vendors) and identify any problems/design issues.
- Participate in meetings with CLIENT/SUBCONTRACTOR/VENDOR related to Mechanical Discipline issues
- Prepare key project documents (like Specifications Mechanical Data Sheets Material Requisitions Technical Bid Evaluations Mechanical Studies etc.)
- Provide input data and contribution to other disciplines to develop their own deliverables such as Piping Drawings Plot Plans/Layouts etc.
- Participate in projects tender stage. This includes reviewing of TENDER documentation identify any points of concern/mismatches among tender documents and inconsistencies/deviations with applicable Codes/Standards that could have a cost impact prepare tender clarification forms for Mechanical related issues etc.
- Perform technical bid evaluations for vendor offers and technical review of vendor drawings and documents.
- Work in accordance with the requirements of company IMS procedures.
Qualifications :
- BE or equivalent in Mechanical and MSc
- PhD in relevant field of expertise would be a definite advantage
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience (for candidates with no postgraduate studies minimum 3 years for candidates with PhD) related to Oil & Gas Power Plants Industrial Projects and detailed engineering experience in the field of expertise (Mechanical engineering).
- Technical competence in Mechanical engineering with strong technical background in static rotating equipment and mechanical packages pipe stress analysis and HVAC installations. Advanced analytical skills in basic and detailed engineering design from project feasibility stage to plant commissioning and start up is considered as an asset of the candidate.
- Previous exposure to international environment will be considered an advantage.
- Experience using relevant CAD and Mechanical commercial software applicable to Oil & Gas and Power Plants projects (like AUTOCAD CAESAR II PVElite AMETank HAP THERMOFLOW etc.).
- In depth knowledge of international codes & standards international design guidelines & recommendations (like ASME API NFPA ASHRAE etc.).
- Experience in Machinery Safety Regulations (local international).
- Mobility is desirable to participate in working teams at Archirodons project home offices throughout the countries that Archirodon executes its EPC projects.
- Excellent command (written and oral) of the English language.
